Valery Koshlyakov
Valery Koshlyakov, nato a Salsk, nella Russia meridionale nel 1962, lavora tra Mosca e Parigi. Scelto per rappresentare la Russia alla Biennale di Venezia del 2003, invitato nel 2004 a presentare una monumentale installazione alla Chapel de la Salpetriere, Valery Koshlyakov utilizza materiali semplici: cartoni, nastro da imballaggio, strati sovrapposti di pittura ad olio e di vernice spray. Come tutti gli artisti che hanno vissuto il tramonto dell’Unione Sovietica sente con forte nostalgia il legame con la Grecia classica.
